Review: PALIT RTX 5060 Ti Infinity 3 16 GB

The final word:

So, what do we think of this PALIT RTX 5060 Ti Infinity 3 16 GB?

In the end, this model, which we weren’t really expecting, performs very well, with a very interesting gain in rasterisation. For us, the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB/16GB was the best choice for 1080p definition, but this new RTX 5060 Ti raises the bar even higher, allowing it to play in the 1440p card league. Admittedly, you may have to make some graphical concessions on some of the more demanding games, but overall, it’s no problem at all. If you want to use Multi Frame Generation, don’t forget to maintain a sufficient average native FPS before activating it, otherwise your gaming experience may be altered.

With this 16GB RTX 5060 Ti Infinity 3 model, PALIT is offering us a high-performance card that’s ready to take on 1440p definition. You might even say that, in the end, it’s too powerful to be content with 1080p. It ‘should’ be available at the MSRP price, i.e. 449 euros, which for us is a rather attractive price, given that the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB was offered at 549 euros when it was launched! If we look at NVIDIA’s higher-end range, we find the RTX 5070 with an MSRP of 649 euros, also offering higher performance, but the ratio is more in favour of this RTX 5060 Ti.

In terms of design, it has an 8-pin power connector, which could well appeal to those who don’t want to change their power supply and who own at least one 600-watt model. The cooling system is effective, but it’s worth remembering that the entire casing is made entirely of plastic, although once you’re inside your case, this will be of less importance.

Should you sell your RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB?

Well, that’s going to change slightly. If you have a 1080p screen, certainly not, your RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB still does the job perfectly! On the other hand, if your display is compatible with 1440p or if you’re planning to buy one in the next few weeks, this RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB could prove interesting. It has 16 GB of GDDR7, can (logically) be found in MSRP at 449 euros and benefits from Multi Frame Generation, which can be an asset in 1440p to complement the card’s performance.

We didn’t have time to look at overclocking because of the tight schedule, with two of our three cards arriving only on Friday. We’re going to cover this subject quickly, though, because if in the end the three RTX 5060 Ti cards tested today differ by between 1% and 3% in terms of performance, overclocking could change all that. So stay tuned over the coming days to discover the potential of our three graphics cards. Now, we don’t expect to be able to make huge gains with this Palit model, as the power limit cannot be increased.

A final word about the “8 GB” versions, which we haven’t tested, but which seem to us to be less interesting than the “16 GB” versions, especially when it comes to taking advantage of the 1440p definition. Thanks to NVIDIA for making this sample of the PALIT RTX 5060 Ti Infinity 3 16 GB available.
