Assembly
Installation of the foot and the jack :
As with many seats, we begin the assembly with the base. For this, we use the five legs foot and then we push the wheels at each end. We will have to force them in… A little… Before they are perfectly in place. Nothing insurmountable, besides, if we wish, they will be easy to remove by simply pulling on them.
Once the wheels are mounted, we turn the whole thing over since it is time to attack the assembly of the cylinder and its cover. Again, nothing complicated since we will deposit this last one in its hole. Once in place, it does not remain any more but to deposit the mask around.
Seat assembly, jack and rocker mount installation:
In order to facilitate the packaging, the seat arrives with an armrest removed on both, so it will be up to us to put it back in place before continuing the assembly. This is not complicated since we simply tilt the seat on the side and screw the armrest underneath. Note that we can manage the spacing of a few millimeters if necessary.
Now that the armrest is in place, we can turn the seat over to mount the rocker support on it. Again, no particular difficulty, you just have to pay attention to the mounting direction. As a reminder, the hole, which will be used to receive the head of the jack, must be positioned towards the back of the seat: towards the backrest. Otherwise, if you activate the rocking chair function, the chair will swing forward.
Before positioning all this beauty on its jack, we will take care not to forget to position the control handles for the rocking chair and the height of the chair. The assembly is simple, we simply plug them on the steel rods that protrude. As for the direction, the flat part must point to the front of the seat.
Now that everything is ready, we can move on to the next step which consists of placing the seat on the jack. This step is normally quite easy to do, but don’t hesitate to ask for help. The seat being top-of-the-range, the materials are of quality what is inevitably felt on the weight. You will have to make the head of the jack coincide with the hole on the rocking support.
And as usual with the chairs, once the seat is mounted, there is nothing more to do. The weight of the parts and of the user is enough to make it all fit together. Besides, it holds very well, try to disassemble the jack of a chair, you will understand that there is no need to do more.
Backrest installation:
We pass now to the assembly of the file. However, in order to reinforce the safety aspect, the lever controlling the inclination of the backrest is now screwed. Before proceeding, you must remove this screw and then operate the lever. Be careful, this will release the tilt mechanism, avoid having your hands in the middle when it goes up!
Then, we proceed to the assembly of the backrest which will have to be positioned between the tabs of the seat, then screw the whole by the sides. By default, the screws are already present on the backrest, you just have to remove them before fixing the backrest. Again, don’t hesitate to ask for help to hold the backrest in place during assembly.
Some finishes
We finish the assembly of the seat by installing the side covers, which hide the backrest mounting tabs. As usual with noblechairs, you have to screw them on. Honestly, we would have appreciated a SecretLab-like system, magnetic, to facilitate the installation.
