Raptor Lake: an extreme mode at 350W?

According to a new leak, Intel might add a new factory OC mode for the upcoming 13th generation Core i9s. So some Raptor Lake CPUs could support a power limit of 350W, a figure to be compared to the default power limits (PL1/PL2) of up to 241W. Until now, going beyond PL2 on the 12th generation did not bring a noticeable gain. However, for motherboards with the new 700 chipset and an adequate cooling system, it would be possible to activate a 350W mode. The 125W PL1 and 253W PL2 levels will remain on the Core i9-13900K to ensure compatibility with Intel 600 series motherboards… A good way to encourage switching to the new chipset.Raptor Lake 350WA gain of almost 15% is mentioned if this feature is enabled, which seems huge. Raptor Lake 350W But the ability to unlock a power reserve so easily would obviously be an additional argument for the upcoming top-of-the-line Raptor Lake.
