NZXT has just announced its entry into the gaming monitor market with the Canvas 27QHD and Canvas 32QHD . If the characteristics of the two models are in the high standard of what can be found on the market, the commercial approach is surprising… Both models come without a stand! If you want to have a solution to put these NZXT screens on your desk and be able to adjust their height and so on, you will have to pay. While this may come as a shock at first glance, in reality it’s quite coherent when you consider the multi-monitor uses of gamers who often invest in stands and other wall mounts for their setups. Finally, both versions will be available in Black or White.
NZXT Canvas: monitors… without stands
Let’s go back to the characteristics and prices of these two monitors:
- The NZXT Canvas 27QHD is equipped with a flat IPS panel offering a maximum brightness of 300 nits and a contrast of 1000: 1. The resolution offered is Quad HD or 2560 x 1440 pixels . We have a refresh rate of 165 Hz and a response time of 1 millisecond (but we do not know how it is measured). For connectivity you can count on 2x HDMI 2.0 + 1x DisplayPort 1.2 + 2x USB 3.0 + 1x USB-C. It is certified Freesync Premium and HDR10. The launch price in Europe is 409€ TTC without the stand. To get the latter, you will have to add 40€
- The NZXT Canvas 32Q uses a 32″ curved VA panel (1500R) with a QHD resolution. The rest of the specifications are identical to the 27″ model. The price of the screen starts at 499€ and you will have to add 50€ for an articulated stand.
