HX90G: a Minisforum PC with a Ryzen 9 5900HX and an RX 6650M!

Minisforum HX90GAs always, the goal of the brand is to offer ultra compact machines. Moreover, this one is no exception to the rule since it occupies a volume of 2.8 l. Nevertheless, despite this, we find a rather muscular configuration since we find a Ryzen 9 5900 HX coupled with an RX 6650M. As a reminder, the 5900HX offers 8 cores and 16 threads clocked at 3.3 GHz with a boost to 4.6 GHz.

Concerning the memory, we find two DDR4 SO-DIMM slots. The storage part highlights a PCIe SSD in M.2 format of 512 GB and another free slot for SSD. We finish with an M.2 2230 for a WiFi/Bluetooth module.

Finally, as far as cooling is concerned, we learn that this model is air-cooled. The system has a total of seven heatpipes, three for the CPU and four for the GPU, as well as two fans. The brand also uses liquid metal as a thermal interface.

Finally, we learn that the CPU will consume 50W against 100W for the graphics part under full load. Moreover, the GPU will be able to run at full speed without any loss of performance, especially due to any thermal throttle.

On the other hand, we will have to wait a little to know the price. You should also know that the machine comes with a 260W power supply.
