And now, we told you in our test of the GSKill Trident Z5 6800 MT/s CL34 RGB kit that the 8000 MT/s kits should be available soon. Today, GSKill officially announces the availability of a DDR5 kit composed of two 16 GB arrays for a total of 32 GB clocked at 8000 MT/s with timings of 38-48-48-128. This kit will need a voltage of 1.45 volts to operate.

To take advantage of this kit, you will need a 13th generation processor and a motherboard with a Z790 chipset. The kit has been tested below on a ROG MAXIMUS Z790 APEX motherboard, which will be online this Friday 2/12 and with an Intel Core i9-13900K processor.

It is already listed in France at LDLC at 749.95 euros for the gray RGB version and 756 euros for the black RGB version. This is indeed a very high price for the fastest kit currently available. As a reminder, we were able to overclock our GSKill 6800 MT/s CL34 kit to 8200 MT/s CL34. Don’t forget that in order to keep such frequencies, your Raptor Lake processor will have to have a good IMC.
