God of War PC unveiled

We talked about it but Sony’s strategy has changed lately and the Japanese company now wants to position itself on the PC platform. God of War is coming in about a month (January 14th) and it seems that Sony is really trying to get all the advantages of the PC port with notably a support of wide screens, more advanced graphic details and of course an uncapped display frequency (depending of course on your hardware).

Let’s not forget that there is an agreement between Nvidia and Sony for the release of this game. Obviously the greens are going to take advantage of this to push all the in-house technologies that are available on their RTX (when they are available). When God of War launches on PC in January, you’ll be able to use DLSS to increase your frame rate, allowing you to enjoy this incredible game with maximum graphics. Graphically, there are higher resolution shadows, improved screen space reflections, improved Ground Truth Ambient Occlusion (GTAO) and Screen Space Directional Occlusion (SSDO) effects, more detailed assets and higher rendering resolutions, making the world of God of War even more spectacular. Plus, the frame rate is completely uncapped, for a smoother, faster presentation. You can play in HDR on gaming monitors, G-Sync and G-Sync Ultimate TVs and displays, and in ultra-wide 21:9 widescreen, for the most immersive experience possible.
