[COMPUTEX 2022] Nvidia / RTX 40xx: NOTHING new

0

Many of you are hoping for some announcements from Nvidia regarding future GeForce RTX 40 cards. But the “weakness” of the AMD conference a few hours earlier actually gave the “The” of what may be this Computex 2022 for Nvidia.

COMPUTEX 2022: Nvidia is not talking about GeForce RTX 40xx

At the end of a conference largely devoted to the professional world (datacenters, AI, robotics, etc.), it was up to Jeff Fisher, Senior Vice President of the GeForce division, to close this conference. And you understood, the disappointment was there since, as some imagined, we had presentations of games compatible with Ray tracing and others, but nothing really new at the hardware level except the evocation of a new Asus 24″ 1080P screen that reaches a refresh rate of 500 Hz (we’ll come back to this).

For those who still wish to watch Nvidia’s presentation in detail, you will find the video below. Here is the order of appearance of the speakers and therefore the topics covered:

  • Ian Buck, Vice President of Accelerated Computing
  • Brian Kelleher, Senior Vice President, Hardware Engineering
  • Ying Yin Shih, Director of Product Management, Accelerated Computing
  • Michael Kagan, chief technology officer
  • Deepu Talla, Vice President of Embedded Computing
  • Jeff Fisher, senior vice president of GeForce
