After ASUS’ first announcement of its ROG Crosshair X670E Extreme, it’s now MSI’ s turn to unveil part of its AMD X670 board lineup via a press release.
MSI’s new AMD X670 motherboards:
MSI is proud to announce its X670 chipset motherboard range, supporting the new AMD Ryzen 7000 processors. With the new MEG X670E GODLIKE, MEG X670E ACE, MPG X670E CARBON WIFI and PRO X670-P WIFI, MSI aims to offer the best of the technology and features brought by this new generation of AMD processors in a complete line-up for gamers, designers and professionals. The arrival of the AMD 7000 processors brings with it a host of new features such as PCIe 5.0, DDR5 support and more! The X670 chipset is split into two segments: X670 Extreme and X670, with X670E supporting PCIe 5.0 on both PCIe slots and M.2 slots, while motherboards with the X670 chipset support PCIe 5.0 only on M.2 slots. The power supply phase design has also been optimized including up to 24 + 2 phases with 105A mosfets. As usual, MSI will offer motherboards in the MEG, MPG and MAG series.
Revealing a legend – MEG Series:
Our MEG series gets more features than ever before with the MEG X670E GODLIKE and MEG X670E ACE motherboards. The MEG series now comes in E-ATX format and is equipped with a power supply stage up to 24 + 2 phases of 105A. This is covered by a heatsink with densely stacked fins and a heat pipe to dissipate heat while maintaining outstanding performance. In addition, a baseplate for MOSFETs is present for greater heat dissipation from the power supply phase while a metal backplate helps protect the PCB while providing increased rigidity to the board. The MEG series motherboards all come equipped with up to 4 M.2 connectors including 1 x4 M.2 PCIe 5.0 connector. An XPANDER-Z GEN5 DUAL M.2 expansion card is also provided to add 2 more M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 slots to give you ultimate storage capabilities.
Be ahead of the curve, stand out – MPG Series:
The MPG series gets a nice upgrade with the new AMD platform. The use of a carbon black theme makes the MPG X670E CARBON WIFI more stunning than ever. Thus, the MPG X670E CARBON WIFI card and its carbon black dress has 2 PCIe 5.0 16x slots and 4 M.2 slots divided into 2 M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 and 2 M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4. It is equipped with an 18 + 2 phase power stage with 90A mosfets and has a substantial cooling thanks to an extended heatsink. Just like the previous generation, there will be a collaboration with EK Water Blocks for a custom monoblock covering the processor, power stages and an M.2 port. Whichever you choose, you’ll be satisfied.

The PRO series is perhaps one of the most popular among businesses and designers. With its 14+2 phase power stage and dual 8-pin CPU connectors, the PRO X670-P WIFI will handle any task without flinching.
