We continue on the announcements of motherboards on Z790 chipset with this time Biostar and its Z790 VALKYRIE and Z790A-SILVER. The first is a high-end motherboard. As for the second, we have the entry-level of the brand.
The Biostar Z790 VALKYRIE
We start with the Valkyrie, the latest iteration of Biostar’s iconic range. It is built around the Z790 chipset and is therefore compatible with processors on socket LGA1700. With PCIe 5.0 compatibility on the PCIe and M.2 slots, you will be able to mount the most muscular upcoming configurations. It features an 8-layer low-loss PCB equipped with Dr.MOS CRM.
And, of course, the latter is compatible with DDR5 memory. For connectivity we have the right to a 2.5 Gbps network socket, a Displayport and an HDMI port. The USB part on the IO shield is well supplied with six USB A ports and two USB C ports, one of which is Displayport compatible. For Wi-Fi, however, you will have to buy a 6E compatible WiFi card and install it yourself.
The Biostar Z790A-SILVER
The Z790A-SILVER has a lot of the same specifications as the VALKYRIE. But, it loses a large part of its connectivity, its heat sinks or the incorporated IO shield. This one is DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 compatible on the PCIe and M.2 slots. The PCB is still an 8 Layers Low-loss equipped with VRM Dr.MOS. For connectivity, we have the right to a 2.5 Gbps network socket, a Displayport and an HDMI port. The USB part on the IO shield is well supplied with seven USB A ports, two of which are 2.0 and a USB C port. For Wi-Fi, you will also have to buy a 6E compatible WiFi card and install it yourself.
We are looking forward to these Biostar Z790 VALKYRIE and Z790A-SILVER and in particular the VALKYRIE model. The latter is of great interest to our community.
