New small motherboard for MSI which announces its MAG B660M Bazooka DDR4. The card in question has a micro-ATX format, a military look and mostly black and green colors. A rather original card on paper!
B660M Bazooka DDR4 : a card with a military look !
With its new card, MSI offers us a micro-ATX format model with a particular look. Indeed, the heatsinks are green and have an imitation steel texture. With this color, we can imagine a fan based on Thermaltake Toughfan 12 Racing Green to hide nothing.
In any case, this model is intended for the entry-level sector. The card does not use DDR5 or PCIe 5.0. You will have to make do with four DDR4-4800 memory slots. The first PCIe will be x16 to the 4.0 standard while the second will be a PCIe 3.0 x4 (physical x16). Finally, a small PCIe x1 3.0 completes the whole.
The storage part is more or less the same with four SATA and two M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots. However, only one of these M.2 has a heatsink.
As for the power supply, the CPU benefits from a dual EPS12V in eight and four pins. Otherwise, the card itself embeds 12 + 1 + 1 power supply phases.
We finish quickly with the back of the card which offers a total of six USB ports (of different standards). There is also a PS2 combo for keyboard and mouse as well as DisplayPort and HDMI outputs. The audio part is driven by a Realtek ALC897 chip and the Ethernet by Realtek 8125BG.
As for prices, this model can be found on the net between 170 € and 200 € depending on the store.
