B660GTN: a new ITX motherboard from Biostar!

0

At Biostar, we can see a new motherboard in mini-ITX format. It is the Racing B660GTN, a model with an Intel B660 chipset, but if this model remains in DDR4, unlike the Gigabyte model, we have the right to PCIe 5.0!

B660GTN: a card without DDR5, but with PCIe 5.0!

Biostar Racing B660GTN With this model, we have a compact motherboard in mini-ITX format: 17 cm x 17 cm. It has an Intel LGA-1700 socket and a B660 chipset. The look is globally worked with blue and white borders which brings some contrast.

The connectivity remains classic for a card of this format. Thus, we have the right to a single PCIe x16 to the 5.0 standard. For the RAM, we remain on DDR4, nevertheless, it can take up to 64 GB clocked at 4500 MHz. The storage part highlights four SATA III and two M.2 in PCIe 4.0 x4 or SATA.

However, unlike Gigabyte’s model, we don’t have a USB type C header, which could prove to be a disadvantage. Some recent cases only offer a USB type A and a USB type C on the front. Finally, at the back, there is a DisplayPort output completed by an HDMI socket. There are six USBs: 2x 2.0 and 4x 3.2 Gen2. A PS2 keyboard/mouse combo is also included, as well as Ethernet (Realtek RTL8125B), antenna ports and audio (Realtek ALC120).

Unfortunately, the price is not yet known.
