Atom: new series of SSDs from XPG!

After presenting its Legend series of SSDs, ADATA/XPG is back on the scene with a new batch of products. Indeed, the performance branch of the brand offers its ATOM series. On the program, we find the 30, 40 and 50 series.

Atom : M.2 SSD up to 1Tb !

XPG ATOM As we said, the brand declines its range in three series with the 30, 40 and 50 models. In the lot, the 30 and 40 models will be the slowest with their PCIe 3.0 interface while the 50 are in PCIe 4.0. In terms of capacity, we have 250 GB, 500 GB and 1 TB for the 30 series. The 40 and 50 series are displayed in 512 GB and 1 TB.

On the performance side, XPG announces the following speeds:

  • 30 series :
    • Sequential read/write: 2500 MB/s – 2000 MB/s
    • Random read/write: 180k IOPS – 200k IOPS
  • 40 series :
    • Sequential read/write: 3500 MB/s – 2000 MB/s
    • Random read/write: 480k IOPS – 260k IOPS
  • 50 series :
    • Sequential read/write: 5000 MB/s – 4500 MB/s
    • Random read/write: 440k IOPS – 400k IOPS

Despite everything, it is difficult for us to tell you what type of memory or controller the brand uses. For the moment, the brand does not seem to have put its technical data sheet online.

However, the prices are known and according to our colleagues they are $59.99, $79.99 and $139.99 for the ATOM 30 in 250 GB, 500 GB and 1 TB. For the 40 series, the prices are $99.99 and $179.99 for the 512 GB and 1 TB versions. Finally, the 50 series shows the highest prices with its PCIe 4.0 x4: $119.99 and $179.99 in 512 GB and 1 TB.
