Two new entry-level cards from AMD

Now the site VideoCardz via one of its most reliable sources on AMD, reveals that the brand would have planned to launch two new entry-level GPUs for the end of January. The RX 6500 XT and 6400, would be equipped with the Navi 24 chip engraved in 6nm from TSMC (like the MI200 GPU and Rembrandt APU) allowing a modest performance gain in front of 7nm.

The first card would have 1024 shaders and the second 768, both would have 16 MB ofInfinity Cache and 4 GB of GDDR6 on a 64-bit bus, at 16 Gbps and 14 Gbps respectively.

This limited bus would thus give bandwidths of 128 Gbps and 112 Gbps, but according to VideoCardz, AMD should use a new marketing term to inflate the numbers, combining the video memory bandwidth and Infinity Cache, thus giving 232 Gbps and 216 Gbps. Regarding power consumption, the TBP of its two cards would be 107W and 53W, with a 6 pin connector for the first and no connector for the second. The RX 6500XT and RX 6400 will be announced at CES 2022 on January 4 and launched on January 19, but only the first one should be available for direct purchase, with the second card made exclusive to integrators.
